PodPack Privacy & Support
PodPack is a curator-managed podcast app for listener devices.
Last updated: August 16, 2026
Privacy Policy
PodPack helps a signed-in curator approve podcasts for a listener device. This policy explains what information PodPack collects and how it is used.
Information We Collect
PodPack may collect:
- Curator account identifiers from Sign in with Apple, including the Apple user identifier and, when Apple provides it, an email address or private relay email.
- Listener profile information created by the curator, such as a profile label and app-generated listener profile ID.
- Listener device information needed to pair and sync the listener app, including app-generated device identifiers, pairing state, authorization snapshots, and sync timestamps.
- Podcast management data, including searched or added podcast feeds, approved shows, approved episodes, blocked episodes, favorites, playback progress, recent listening history, and feed refresh status.
- Operational logs needed to keep the service reliable and diagnose errors.
PodPack does not ask for birthdays, contacts, location, photos, microphone access, camera access, payment information, or advertising identifiers.
How We Use Information
PodPack uses information to sign in curators, pair listener devices, sync approved podcast content, store playback progress and favorites, refresh public podcast metadata, provide support, troubleshoot issues, protect the service, and operate the backend.
Public Podcast Feeds
Podcast metadata and audio come from public publisher feeds. PodPack does not proxy, transcode, or host podcast audio. When a listener streams or downloads an episode, the listener device may contact the podcast publisher or the publisher's hosting provider directly.
Sharing
PodPack does not sell personal information and does not include third-party advertising SDKs or behavioral analytics. Information may be processed by service providers that help operate PodPack, such as hosting, database, and infrastructure providers.
Data Retention and Deletion
Curators can delete listener profiles and curator accounts from the app. Listener profile deletion unlinks the related listener device and removes the profile from normal curator views. Curator account deletion removes the account where allowed by the current app rules. Some operational records may be retained for a limited period when needed for security, reliability, legal, or abuse-prevention purposes.
Security
PodPack uses standard HTTPS/TLS for network communication and stores service data in managed backend infrastructure. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but PodPack is designed to collect only the data needed for the app to function.
Changes
This policy may be updated as PodPack changes. The latest version will be posted at this URL.
